    Well...it's a 40ft Marathon with OTR A/C

    What do you mean from the socal area? The owner won't let you in?

    owners sometimes "accidently" forget to let you in on all the things they know are wrong with a vehicle .
    I was hoping maybe someone here is familiar with this vehicle.
    and being a leary of all things at all times, inquiring minds want to know.
    socal = southern california.

    Buying a bus from anyone except a converter or dealer who will guarantee to repair any problems encountered is not for the weak of heart. It is difficult for those of us who know and understand coaches, but is doubly difficult for new buyers.

    The only way to buy an "as-is" coach is to verify its condition by using the services of an expert, or by methodically operating every single switch, control, device, or system, and verifying the maintenance history.

    A used coach, especially as it ages requires almost constant attention to detail to keep everything working as new. It requires frequent use, regular maintenance, and TLC all of which are difficult to do, especially today when everybody's lives are so busy. Even with a careful inspection it is probable there will be things that crop up which will require some attention. As far as someone knowing a specific coach, I'm not sure anybody that does not own it can give an opinion that is worth more than a careful inspection. That opinion can give clues as to whether the owner was fussy or not, but for the amount of money involved in the typical purchase, an inspection is required.
