    Default Generator Airbag Replacement

    Hi all,

The airbags on my generator (to dampen vibration) are in need of replacement. At least one of them is coming apart, so i figured to replace all four. There is no part number on the airbags. It just states “Airmount by Firestone” and in small letters “16B” on the airbag itself. Any ideas on where can I find a part number or replacement. I can definitely call Marathon and get replacements from there, but figured out to do some searching myself before going Marathon route.

There are many posts on Generator airbags on this site, they are pretty easy to find online if you pull one out and poke around. I replaced mine a year or so ago with Firestone Airmounts. The other thing you will need is the input pressure as this sets the bag height.

Thanks Mike. I checked around the link and part # W01-358-7001 seemed like the best match for my replacement. Bought on line from MROStop.com based on price.

$110 each- outrageous- similar price to full suspension bag!. I put slime in mine and sealed them up.

Haha. I thought $110 was a deal. These are over $200 each at Marathon.

Mine doesn’t have a leak but rubber is splitting in a few places. I am not sure if mine were ever changed since new (almost 20 years old). I figured change these this one time to last the useful life of the bus.

Very Smart, if it is rubber give it a look and replace when you can.
