    Default Power Steering Hose Failure

I broke a power steering line due to poor installation at the factory. The minimum bend radius for the Parker 421 hose is 7" radius. That means if you go down and back you need a 14" loop. The photo shows how it was installed, the top hose has the leak and was actually pulled down to the clamp located were you see the hole in the steel frame.

Parkers web say's you can expect a 90% reduction in hose life if you don't follow the radius guidelines. You might want to check yours if you have an XLII.
