Help please, trying to find 2" shank for Prevost 20 lb hitch
Prevost 20K hitch with only a 2" receiver. Looked everywhere and called Hitch Pro in Eugene, OR: highest 2" shank is rated at 17K lbs. 2.5" shanks go to 20K lbs.
Strange that Prevost would install a 2" receiver for a 20K hitch.
I'm planning to tow a 26' stacker, max load 19,800.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Check out this site.
They show a 2" mount only rated for 12,000 lbs.

I have a 2007 XL2 Liberty 2 SO, with hitch rated at 20,000 lb, do you know what tongue weight it is rated for?

I've read many references to minimum tongue weight on a standard non equalizing hitch. All have said no less than 10%. This is to reduce the possibility of the trailer whipping back and forth. Of course, this probably is no big deal with the weight of our coaches. Still, using that rule, the real maximum trailer weight would be 15K, even though the hitch can handle 20K. Of course, this doesn't apply to 4 down towing.
