Gathering Tools

I am a big DIY person. It has been fun gathering 'big tools' for my bus. I have entered a whole new world of 1/2" drive sockets (or bigger), heavy jacks, supports, big tires etc.

Hopefully Joe Camper approves of my new tool toys.

The lathe and vertical mill would go nicely in my garage. Do u have any old vices u don't use? I'm also interested in buying a large anvil if anybody has a lead on 1.

Joe, I don't have a spare vise. The one you see on the left side of the picture was one I purchased. Found it almost new at a plant surplus sale. Big heavy american made vise for $100. It was a good find!

I hope in the next year you get to see the lathe and mill in person. I want to have you go through my 95 chassis sometime in 2021.

What are the orange plates with yellow rope handles for?

The go under the jack stands if you are on soft ground. If i were to buy again, I would get the 18" x 18" instead of the 12x12.

I have used on concrete as well under the jacks to provide a little extra height. Grabbing the handle to pull the jacks out also is helpful.

They also make great cutting boards! LOL.
