With the new Volvo engine, the ZF transmission is going to have a control system built into the steering wheel, we are being told. these shells should be out of Quebec somewhere by late spring. The traditional Allison control panel will be gone...y'know the one that is impervious to water?
Don't know yet what will take its place, but those of us who have been used to punching the Allison controls will have to shift with thumbs on the wheel.
