Karl,
To me, there is a lot of satisfaction in troubleshooting an issue with the bus then using my tools and resources to fix it without moving it out of the hanger.
I also get a moderate amount of satisfaction in diagnosing a crappy problem and taking it to the right guy for a good fix at a fair price and thinking, "Dang I'm glad I didn't have to do that". I spent a fair amount of time as a new bus owner making expensive mistakes, so this forum and the folks on it have been priceless. So don't always think of this as a how-to forum for gearheads.
As J. Paul Getty said, "There's as much value in knowing where the oil isn't as knowing where it is". Plenty of folks on here have learned this by not getting skinned by a repair facility because of knowledge gained here.

I agree: no one cares like I do! That's why life is so difficult. If I could depend on anyone to do anything at all, my life would be Soooooooooo much easier.
It's actually kind of exciting to think about being able to do work like that. All I need is some time, but I try not to hope for it to pass too quickly, as it is still nice to have the kids at home.
Thanks for the insight!

Does anyone know of a decent shop in the Carolinas or Georgia to replace or perform maintenance as to the air spring system or air bags? Central Florida is further than I would like to go.

Some items off a 94 chassis that have achieved a prominent spot on the wall of shame. Cut 2 of the 3 bags out.

The bolts that hold the norgrens get welded on with electrolosis with time and the can be real raskles to get out.

I've seen other patients display this behavior so I don't waste time prying. ZIP ZIP Cut it in half right through the middle of the stuck bolt and it's removed quite expediantly.
U can have a metal base of a bag rot through and leak air as easily as the old rubber can leak.

WOW Joe, were those systems working at all before you got there?

Not everybody has the dryer in thst location. But everyone has these lines going to this bulkhead.
Here is a reoccurring site. This is the bulkhead forward of the drive axles. Up high in the middle. What r these hoses with the corroded ends??? Not A/C they go up the side. Not power steering one of those is larger than the other. Fuel? They r a pair of look alike 8 aeroquip ends. I know they r not because they would not have done that. Does the service manual show an image of these bulkhead and identify those lines. Lots and lots of these fittings out there like this and at some point this will need to be addressed and it will be a pickle.
What r these lines? Could be the bigger hose coming off the power steering pump goes to the reservoir and they could quite possibly be power steering .
Help.
