Trace inverters were inop when I purchased coach, selling dealer installed these Conext SW units. They have only 1 AC input (shore). As we all know we need 2 AC inputs (shore/gen). Units were removed and replaced with Magnum inverter/chargers.These are basically new, good quality inverter/chargers just not meant for a coach installation.Asking $900 Ea this includes remote control/display with remote cables, and wall mounting brackets.Located in Leesburg, FL

For others contemplating changing out Trace 4024 inverters, there is no reason you can't use single AC in/out inverters. It simply requires front ending the inverters with a transfer switch.
If you want dual AC in/out units your choices are limited. Victron (personal choice) or Magnum Hybrids (the units I have).
Just know that the Trace 4024 doesn't have a replacement with the same capabilities. The AC surge current of the Trace unit is unmatched by today's offerings.

Is there a chance the selling dealer still has the old Trace inverters? I would love to take them off his hands! I will take Trace 4024's and RVAC basement units from ALL dealers/service centers! I will pay them for them...PLEASE DON"T TRASH THESE UNITS! Thank you!

Jeff at ETLC has the old Trace inverters. I think he sent them to Inverter Service Center in TN & they confirmed that they were NG

I then added Jim of VIP consulting to my list of vendors. I know you and him work closely together. He is awesome. Bottom line everything that was wrong was my fault. Operator error. Now that I know the Trace system and know how to do things correctly...they work Perfectly.

It surprises me how few "experts" understand how the Trace 4K units work given how prolific they were in this industry. I've followed behind paid service contractors to find fairly common issues. Be careful who you take advise from and give your money too.
As much as I think Victron makes a replacement for the Trace unit I suspect they are too complex for many.
I'm perplexed. Did this coach actually have to single feed inverters installed without a transfer switch??? How could that work?

It is a typical Featherlite set up with two feeds (gen/Shore). Sticks and staples dealer I purchased it from didn't know what he was doing and purchased the wrong inverters. The dealer was a towable and class A gas coach dealer. Not sure how he ended up with the Prevost. Got it for a fair price knowing it would be a project coach. I did my home work and actually spoke with the first two owners. Both owners keep the coach inside and had a good history of maintenance. It was the third owner who only had the coach for 2 1/2 years that let things slip below an acceptable level. I have owned the coach now for about 8 months and she's coming back to being a proud and pretty coach again. Knew it would be a project coach when I purchased it. I was fully aware of the bigger items needing addressed, just didn't expect all the little things along the way .
