Generator slide lock?
We need to source two new locking mechanisms for the slide out on our generator. Ours seem to be held together with hose clamps and other miscellaneous bits and aren 't doing a very good job of locking things in place! These are the parts with red lever handles and a rubber bumper/cushion. Anyone have a source? Thanks.

Welcome Carol.... Tell us your converter and vintage so someone can try to help.

Hi Carol, I see you have made a few posts, so our belated welcome. As Tom mentioned, the different converters each have their own generator lock so in order to help we need to know your converter and possibly conversion year.
You might take note that most of us use an automatic signature which includes our bus converter info and sometimes other stuff you might like to add. It's real easy to create a signature. Go to the Quick Links heading at the top of this page and click on Edit Signature, the rest is self explanatory. Best wishes for the new year. :)

If you go to www.mcmaster.com and look for hold down toggle clamps, you should find what you need.

Here is another source with several different types.

Man you guys take the cake. Just when I though POG was becoming a kinder and gentler place. Most people have only seen these toggle clamps in red. Carol may not have known that she had choices. You lug-nut-neanderthals need to understand that women need and deserve choices. Their artisitc nature needs support and their natural creativity needs to be cultivated. Presenting design options is just part of my gentle and sensitive nature. To provide choices is fullfilling.
Besides, I was told to do so as C's favorite color is green. :D See big green smile face means Mama's happy and so we all happy!!!! :D:D:D As a matter of fact, all the whos in whoville are happy as well. Sorry about your dilema.

Thank you, EVERYONE! Jim and I are just learning, so until we get our info tagged to our name, we are owners of 1996 Vogue 40'. (We are in Houston.) We'll make good use of the links y'all have suggested.

Sensitive guy!
Sawdust,
What a sensitive guy! Very important to keep mama happy! In fact, my kids demonstrated their understanding of the concept with the sweatshirt they gave me for Christmas -- it reads "The Queen is not amused."
Again thanks for all of the leads. I'll spray the handle whatever color I want!
