Hey, Jon, I can't post pictures either. Just computer dane bramage I suppose, but I want to give you, Fast Rog and the gang a site where you can watch the progress of our western bus/toy barn construction. Try www.geodede.dynalias.org:14184 You should be able to see the movement of the boys and donkey about every four seconds. Maybe not exactly as much fun as watching Corona Kelley, But it's fun while we are here in Lauderdale. Can't make it to Kerrville, but we will catch youall soon.

In your example above, you put the name of the file between the attach commands. You need the attachment ID number, not the filename. When you attach the image using the attachment manager, it gives you a unique ID number. That's what goes between the attach and /attach brackets.
The line should read more like:
where 125 is the attachment ID.
I hope that helps.
Where's the number Ray? What I put between the attach thingies was what it showed was uploaded.
I'll adjust your brakes if you do my computer stuff.
Let me give it a try. I haven't posted a picture in awhile here, so I'll have to do it.
OK, it's a little weird, but here's how to do it.
1. Open the attachment manager
2. Upload the file
3. Close the attachment manager.
4. Down at the bottom under "attach files", you'll now see a link to your image.
You have two choices here
5a. click on the link, and the picture will open in another window.
Note, the URL at the top of the browser. Like the image I just uploaded, the link was (shortened here)
...... attachment.php?attachmentid=1069&stc=1&d=117588040 0
You see the attachmentid=1069. The attachment id for this picture is 1069.
5b. Hover your mouse over the picture link down under "attach files". You'll see the same link I typed above, but down in the "info" area of your browser.
In both cases you're looking for the "attachmentid=XXXX"
And here's the text which should show my picture
Attachment 1069
I hope that helps. It is a little convoluted, I agree. If this doesn't work, get with me at Kerrville, and I'll go through it with you.
Ray, CONVOLUTED is indeed an understatement! IMHO. :o JIM
Jon,
Rather than re-uploading pictures you should be able to edit your first post. In looking at the two pictures you uploaded, the attachmentids are 1060 and 1061.
Change the two lines (click on edit) to:

and hopefully the first post should be fixed.
You da man, Ray.
I have to try it again to see if I can do it from the beginning.
For that brake adjustment you need to come to Casa Del Grease Pit.
This is what the guy looks like sitting in his car

Your pictures come up as thumbnails and that tells me you are not in the standard editor setting.
Go to user CP control panel, settings and options, edit options.
Then when that comes up go all the way to the bottom of the page and click on that box and standard will be 1 of 3 choices. Get standard in the box making sure to click out the blue background field to white before exiting, finally clicking save changes at the very bottom of the page.
This should also change your screen for posting to now include additional tools and smilies. After you insert your pictures, by using the paperclip in the tool bar above, take your icon your moving with your mouse and put it at the end of the first attatchment and click. Then hit Enter key on the keyboard and that should put you inbetween the pics.
If this is all the case give a reply and we'll continue. My opinion is this mode is easier to post up pics, you can preview them this way.
Let see if this works.

I think I did a combination of of what Ray said and what Joe said. I think I'll just go out and work on the bus. It is easier.
If those 2 pictures can't make you smile, there is something wrong with you:)
Joe may have hit upon a key? My User CP was in "standard editor", rather than basic.Quote:

I did get the behavior you got with your second post (i.e. links, not pictures), but that was when I attempted to link using the attach/attach syntax on images which hadn't been uploaded with *that* post.
Otherwise, it's always worked for me. I'm glad to see you got it the last time with the balloons!
Ray
JPJ:
As JDUB would say that is "way harsh" .
A1 Jon- Nice pics- of the ballons that is!
 Harry - No, I was referring to Jon's pic at the computer. That guy should be drawning a royalty from Daniel Webster as being the photo in the dictionary under ugly! The "ballon photos were very pleasant".
I am going to hide my own easter eggs now.
