I am a big DIY person. It has been fun gathering 'big tools' for my bus. I have entered a whole new world of 1/2" drive sockets (or bigger), heavy jacks, supports, big tires etc.
Hopefully Joe Camper approves of my new tool toys.

The lathe and vertical mill would go nicely in my garage. Do u have any old vices u don't use? I'm also interested in buying a large anvil if anybody has a lead on 1.
Joe, I don't have a spare vise. The one you see on the left side of the picture was one I purchased. Found it almost new at a plant surplus sale. Big heavy american made vise for $100. It was a good find!
I hope in the next year you get to see the lathe and mill in person. I want to have you go through my 95 chassis sometime in 2021.
What are the orange plates with yellow rope handles for?
The go under the jack stands if you are on soft ground. If i were to buy again, I would get the 18" x 18" instead of the 12x12.
I have used on concrete as well under the jacks to provide a little extra height. Grabbing the handle to pull the jacks out also is helpful.
They also make great cutting boards! LOL.
4 pack from BIGFOOT purchased off amazon.
ok Got it, Thank you
Where does everyone buy their impact sockets? I see some folks with a socket that looks like it has a built on extension, all one piece. I want to start an impact socket collection, i know i need a 1 1/2" for the wheels.
I bought an 1 1/2" socket and extension from NAPA (3/4" drive). Since it takes some abuse, I wanted a good one. Long 3/4" extension bar from Harbor Freight (ICON Line of tools).
I have lots of snap-on tools I use for aviation but not worth spending that kind of money for tools that live on the bus in my view.
Thank you, I agree, Napa has the Carlyle brand which seems to be pretty decent.
Snap On is now selling an off brand of tools at harbor freight to compete with the Pittsburgh forge brand that is actually a communist red Chinese product taking advantage of that Pittsburg name.
What is your intention for the 1&1/2 in socket and 3/4 extension Bill?
Hey Joe. My intention was to use the socket, extension, and breaker bar in an emergency situation on the road (i will usually call the guy to come help on the road unless the guy can't get there) so mostly in the shop to get a tire off the bus for some type of work.
I thought about a torque multiplier but I am trying to keep it simple for now. I have a battery impact that can help me get the lug nuts loose.
Keep me on your visit list for next year. Western KY (about 15 miles off I24 near Ft Campbell). I want to go through the chassis and fix all problems.
You will be inside with heat if needed, bathroom, power for your camper, nice clean floor, and I will stock the place with your favorite snacks!
Thanks - Bill
Have u ever tried to start wheel nuts loose manually like that before?
U and prevo newbie r practicly neighbors. Sounds like a winner.
Nice clean floor hu..............we will need to cover that up good.

Here's a tool that will really have u lookin sharp.
Bill, I can't tell if he's joking or not.
I just want to be a fly on the wall observing the work you all will be doing! :-)
So whats the guess on the blue tool????? U guys who know what it is hush up I want to here the guessing.
hmm, looks like it clamps down something round and then presses something. perhaps brake rotors? my first guess was the flux capacitor from back to the future!
It looks like one of the Jet engine prototypes
Clue......the tool is completely out of place in a truck service garage.
Is it an alien piano taken from the Mothership?
Maybe a sorter for the Powerball?
A COVID-19 Hugs machine...we could all use a hug. :-)
Nother clue......Im in Texas

That bus would be an awesome Project!
Something to do with saddles or hats??
LOL, is your name based around the outlaw? or boats? I am a huge fan of Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp. Great name anyway.
Boats - really enjoyed the tie back to the real Doc Holiday though. My last 2 boats were named that -
It is a beaver pelt stretcher for making cowboy hats. Thats culture right there and no teacher ever showed me that in a book.
Wow, I never would have guessed that.
How bout that! Pretty cool -
Well it's raining here in SoCal so i am catching up on inside stuff. I have six of the black and Red 22 ton stands (12" Overall Height), 4 are currently supporting the bus on the 4 body support points. If I want to support the axles i need more stands. My Tag support is about 8" off the ground which won't allow me to use the Black and reds, my steer and drives are taller than 12". I am thinking to make a set of custom stands for all the points that would give me max working height under the bus. The picture below is 4" square, 1/4" wall steel tubing, maybe 3" would be ok I will need to run a stress analysis on this to see what kind of loading it can take.

Newer chassis correctly supported at the rear body support and the tag axle.
ok that's what i was thinking. I need to get my AD2 apart this week. I received all the dryer rebuild parts from Prevost on Friday except the 700.00 cap which i didn't order.
Joe you have an amazing collection of different stands, and bottle jacks.
I had to remove my passenger side tag to service my air dryer tonight, i used this tool to loosen the lug nuts with ease. I think it was 57.00 on Amazon.

If u ever had an X12 in your hand u would not be as happy with that as u r. This falls under the category of u get what u pay for.
Maybe. I paid for a tool to loosen the Lug nuts. This did that with ease.
Bill, you do a great job with your youtube videos by the way. We need you to do more videos, and let's get your channel some views.
