Jim,
Hello. We have been following the conversation. We arrived with the Obamas in Narrows Too and were planning to leave on Friday. I think we will stay another day and join the group for Thurs and Friday. What are the plans? Is there a cost? We look forward to meeting everyone.
-
Dan & Bob,
We look forward to meeting you in BH. As this is a mini-rally it is laid back and pay as you go. There is a get together Thursday at my sisters house in West Tremont on the island for snacks, drinks and conversation.
We were also hoping to make it to the Jordan Pond house on Friday. We'll see you soon!

Directions to Jennifer Skiff's house:
Directions from Ellsworth:
1. Drive to MDI and go Straight.
2. Drive approximately 5 miles until you go through Somesville. There will be a yellow blinking light at the fire station. The intersection is Pretty Marsh road. Take a right.
3. Drive approximately 12 minutes. Do not take the first Cape Road with all the camp signs on it. Instead, go about 3 more miles and take the next Cape Road.
4. Drive until you see the water. Once you see the water, we're the 3rd dirt driveway on the right. Please park your car on the road if possible.
I will be at the campground to lead folks down there at around 4:30.

Thank you all for coming up to Maine! We had a great time with everyone and look forward to seeing you soon.
Our charity auction in the thunder and lightning raised $1610.00 for Boothbay Special Olympics plus a vintage aircraft ride for a Special Olympian!
Many thanks to Tad and the Owls Head Transportation Museum.

Our thanks to you too. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. We look forward to Kerrville and more conversation.

Jim,
Thanks again for putting together such a great rally. Sherry and I had a wonderful time. She is still remarking on the lobster and of course that plane ride. She is also getting milage out of the Jeep thing at your sister's. We've made it to Illinois and are looking forward to 4 -wheeling in Colorado week after next with the folks going to Loc's mini-rally. See you in Kerrville!!!!

The least you could have done was wear a tie. This is a high class group you are representing.
But the important thing is some kids are going to benefit thanks to POG members.
-
An incredible get together, great fun meeting some great people.
Hope we can repeat this at Port St Lucie or another Florida place this winter and once again in Maine next year.
What most of you missed was the inside of one of the greatest museums ever.
Next year, hopefully.

We bailed out of Narrows II early this AM and 732 miles later are camped near our final "destination" of the trip - Niagara Falls. We had a great time finally shaking hands with many POG folks and seeing Maine. Acadia is a beautiful park and we enjoyed some hiking and biking over the weekend. Maine is a scenic place and we are certainly not used to the Moose crossing signs down in in Tejas.
Jim, special thanks for all you did to add a personal touch to the rally in your homeland. The Cabbage Island gig was outstanding, as were all the events.
Dan - you are correct about paying the Man for the privilege of using his highways - just short of $100 in tolls today to get here today!

this one is better.....notice the position of the Korean vehicle. No this is not Loc's off road adventure.

Wow Rick. I hadn't seen a Hyundai based Jeep Recovery Vehicle. The picture should make for nice advertising at the dealership.
-
Ya, I knew it was coming. I didn't mention it at the time but I was in fact just brushing up on my winch operation in preparation for 4-wheeling in Colorado next week. That's my story and you know the rest.
Sherry and I really enjoyed spending time with everyone that attended this rally. It couldn't have been more fun.
Hope to see you all soon at Kerrville.
Special thanks to Tad, and I agree many missed out on a great museum full of some of the nicest displays anywhere.

Had I known Patrick was going off roading I would have paid Rick to allow me to use the Hummer to pull the Jeep out. I would have had to put it in one wheel drive however.
