Gary those dates worked perfect for us. We will be there on the 18,19,29 site selection your choice. Thanks Again
Larry Beer: We have not stayed at or seen Rincon W before. My cousin checked it out for us and said we would fit and like it. We will arrive on the 1-15 and be in lot 835. We look forward to seeing you. With Baudry closed this year took a lot of premium spaces away from Tucson..
-
Gary, The dates Feb 18, 19, & 20th work for us so sign us up for a back in site.
Thanks again for you work on this.
-
Gary, Please put us down for a Back-In site. Any chance for an early arrival or an extended stay at the Rally Rate?
-

We are planning a POT LUCK dinner Saturday evening with Mike and Jean Simmons at Outdoor Resorts Club House across the street from MCC. I will be posting a list of the members who are firm. Jeanmarie and I will be attending also, per my p.m. to Gary.
I am thinking of (loosely) organizing an expedition to Joshua Tree NP, which is about 50 miles from Indio, on either Saturday or Sunday. This huge desert park has beautiful scenery, much of which is visible merely by driving the main road, but is better seen from one of the many hiking trails. Just driving from the south to north entrances takes a couple of hours, so this would be pretty much a whole day outing. Photographers will want to be in the park for the typically beautiful sunset, which probably makes Sunday the best day. (Potluck already scheduled for Saturday night.)
Hiking and rock climbing are the probably the main attractions. Depending on weather and the relative fitness of the group, we will have lots of options.
Off road driving is prohibited in the park but there are dirt roads to some remote and beautiful spots for those who need to eat some dust.
Click here for park info: http://www.nps.gov/jotr/index.htm
Please let me know if interested.

Unfortunately Cheryl and I will not be able to attend. I will be on assignment in Tennessee, as I am one of the unfortunate few still required to work. At least Nashville should be fun. If time permits, we may try to make the Florida mini rally. Until next time, John and Cheryl.

I spoke with Dawn at Motor Coach Country Club. She has set aside 15 private spaces for us. For those who sign up after those are filled, premium sites are available.
Please call in and make your reservation as they need deposits from 15 to hold the reservation.($50.00 each) Call 760-863-0789. I will be checking with them on friday to see how many have signed up.
Any questions , call me 805-896-0222. We're 37 days counting down!
For those who are coming early or staying after, remember to mention the one free night promotion.
See previous post;

-
Gary, I called and tried to make our reservation today but was told that the Internet special of one free night was not valid with our POG reservations. I have not yet made our reservation in light of this.
-
Please go back and read my posts regarding reservations. The 3 night rally is a discounted rate for 3 nights. That is already arranged. If you want to stay additional days before or after the rally, you can make private arrangements using the free day.
-
Dang. We have to bow out due to unexpected business travel. I was really looking forward to meeting Poggers face to face.
p.s.: Despite the resounding apparent lack of interest, I hope some folks will check out Joshua Tree. I hope everyone has a great time!
-
Well we had the dates open and travel timie available. Chris and I were SET about coming and just got off the phone wanting to make reservations with MCC. We have 2 stumbling blocks with the MCC. 1st, there only Premium sites now available for $99.00 a nite less a 20% discount, but the BIGGIE is their 2 PET limit. As you know, we have 2 schnauzers Max and Keesha and the fox terrier, Loki. We were going to bring Chris' mom along for a bus ride and were excited to come to the mini POG, but we can't leave one of our dogs home. Bummer. Have a good time.
-
OK, its settled. We are staying at Desert Shores down the street. We will be arriving Firday the 18th. Now, we need to figure out how to gain access into Motorcoach Country Club for visiting.
-
Betty and I have a place at Desert Shores, so we will try to attend rally events. MCC and Indio ORI are getting a little fussy about letting non-residents into their parks. As Jim and Chris mentioned, we will have to make arrangements to get into the parks. Fred and Betty Siegrist.
-
Hi everyone. Just to let you know, we have set aside 15 sites at the discounted rate. These are the less expensive sites; The pricing I previously posted. Those sites are not spoken for so make sure when you call you ask for those sites.
-
Gary,, It doesn't make any difference now, but when I called this morning I was told the 50 dollar sites were all taken. Even if we got one, we couldn't use it since we have 1 more dog than their policy allows. Bummer, I would have liked to have been part of the inner circle, been able to walk the dogs looking at all the busses.
As Fred S above said, MCC and the Resort acrossed the street have become increasingly fussy about non-residents coming in.
Last year, staying down the road at Desert Shores, with Fred driving us in his Jeep with Desert Shore stickers, we wanted to gain entry into Motorcoach Country Club and had to wait almost 1/2 hour before they reluctantly let us in to see show coaches.
If their policy is still fussy, better make sure those of us on the outside can get in to both parks for POG functions.
-
I will call tomorrow. Those 15 sites are reserved for us, set aside, not filled up. Its $57.80 back in & $81.80 pull in. As far as the animals are concerned, I will look into it. If there are two parties in a bus , they may make an exception.
If Dawn is not there please mention her name as well as the POG sites .
If anyone else is going to make a reservation, please call me first so I can e-mail Dawn and add you to our list. 805-896-0222 or e-mail; gary@deinhardelectric.com
-
When I called they did check my name against some list. So saying POG is not enough to get the POG rate and spots.
Greg

I spoke with Dawn at MCC this morning and re explained to her that a person does not have to be on my list to reserve one of the 15 private sites. I then sent her an e mail re-enforcing that conversation.
So, please call me or e mail me if you have any problems. I will make your reservation if need be. It's just $50.00 deposit to reserve.
The premium sites are available as well at a discount.
-
Thanks Gary, I got your message when we got home. And thanks for trying to stretch their pet policy. Chris and I having dealt all last year doing simialar ground work for airstream rallies as you are doing now, we know the frustration.
See you the 18th. Chris' mom is excited for another bus trip.
-

We are in the process of having Prevost spend a day with us with their new 32 foot Service Truck. I will keep you posted on this.
-
Gary,
We have a very sick dog and can not make the event next week. Dusty had to have surgery yesterday and will be on recovering for two weeks. Dusty spleen was found to be near the size of a football, really strange. The vet thinks its not cancer but we are awaiting the lab tests.
Sorry we miss you all,
-
Gary, What will the new Prevost Service truck be doing, show and tell, or repair?
-
Hi Everyone. The dinner is shaping up well, for those who have not committed to some meal, and so far I have 7 who have posted, please e mail me or post what you will be bringing. Might I suggest several meat dishes as we are needing a few of those. Appetizers also, if you can include with your dish some appetizers. We have about 20 coaches in all I believe at this point, so about 20 or so couples with friends. I will bring whatever we are short on.
In addition, I will bring a case of wine for the event.

Prevost Service Truck
Jason Hatfield , technicians, & a Convertor technician will be on hand all day Friday with their new Service Truck. They will be available to help answear questions and get members input as to what Prevost owners want and need in a mobile Service Truck.
Prevost plans to offer service out of its Mira Loma Prevost Center. Instead of a customer traveling to Mira Loma for repair and service , they will be coming down to Palm Springs , and Indio to visit owners at their Sites.
This is an opportunity to meet and speak with the people who maintain these buses and also
get some help.
For those who are planning to arrive friday, try to be there as early as possible to take advantage of this one day event.
Jason Brown who works for Prevost but on the Convertor side of the buisness will also be there to help with Convertor questions and problems.
So, make a list.
-
We will be having a raffle on Saturday night for several complimentary Level 3 Service courtesy of Prevost.
