High generator voltage

So my power tech generator 17.5 after running a few minutes the voltage is getting two high 140 it is really kinda all over the place. So when it goes over 132 the trace inverters kick out and start inverting it will clam back down for a bit and then starts over again. It doesn’t seem to do it all the time but more lately. I called power tech they said regulator I ordered one but I am not convinced with me it’s never that easy. So has anyone else experienced this failure?

New regulator fixed the problem. I won one. I also had a issue when the generator had run a few hours it would not start until it cooled and that problem went a way also. So just a win win on the generator problem.
