Is the FMCA/ Michelin tire discount the best way to buy tires for my tow car?

I can't speak directly about Toad tires, however i looked into using FMCA discount and did not find it to make sense. I wanted Michelin XZA and needed a 365/70R22.5 size. FMCA price was not as good as I could negotiate with a family owned heavy truck tire shop in Eugene Oregon. FMCA prices may have been better if you were focused on Michelin's, but that was not my case.
I suggest you shop around and not assume they're the best price. Find a small shop and tell them what FMCA is charging and see if they can beat it.
I also found some shops did not want to deal with FMCA and I didn't want to deal with purchasing them directly myself and bringing in the tires.
