CORROSION X

Stops and prevents rust and corrosion. Excellent lubricant and penetrant. Prevents ELECTROLYSIS BETWEEN DISSIMILAR METALS. Great for electrical connections. Spray on power sources, control panels, circuit boards, micro switches, etc. Our son works for the Verizon Phone Company here in Florida and they use it on the above listed items. He said he has seen sub-panels green from salt air corrosion sprayed with this product and withen 24 hrs. the connections look like new.

Of course I would want Jons endorsement on this product before we all start spraying down our coaches !

I use a smiliar product called Corrosion Bloc, found in the Marine Stores. I found it when we had our boat and I had corrosion in the radar pod, this stuff really works. They had it on display at a boat show and had a big glass tank of the liquid with a working TV in it.

I think corrosion X is what we used to use on the plane. Is that the same stuff Jon?

Corrosion-X is the anti-corrosion product of choice for seaplane/floatplane owners. It is routinely fogged in the wings and exposed interior surfaces of aircraft that are exposed to both fresh and saltwater. I use it and re-apply every 2 or three years. It's great stuff. CAUTION:  Paint will not stick to Corrosion-X, it is meant to be used on aluminum surfaces not exposed to the weather and it's primary purpose is to weep between the unpainted layers of overlapping aluminum skins. I have seen exterior paint flake off of aircraft at the overlapping joints if not thoroughly acid etched and alodyned (sp) prior to paint. Check with the mfg. before using. http://www.corrosionx.com/.

The same website had a product called Rejex, which I read is a paint protectant, which will resist bugs, tar, dirt etc.

Anyone ever use it?

Ray, I have been using Rejex for over two years on my autos and coach. Outstanding product ! Originally formulated for the aircraft industry, I think. My detail guy said it is the best product he has ever seen.

Thanks for the good word on the product. I'm looking for something for the front of my bus. It takes a beating with bugs and whatnot, and I can't ever seem to keep it clean.
