This one might be a good first coach for someone?

(If the link doesn't work for you, go to ebay and look for a 94 Marathon...

There's an extra http:// in the front of the link. Cut that off, and it works fine.

Nice coach. Espcially the Binford 6100 placard!

I was just cruising eBay and saw the Tool Man coach. What do you reckon he didn't do that required the engine be rebuilt at 88K miles?

Did anyone notice they removed the oil tank and lowered it with a new bracket? Is that a custom deal or are all the Marathons done that way? Maybe the driver was short, eh?

Also, what is the consensus on "custom art" on a coach? Personally, it is a ding as far as the price is concerned and not a minor one. I recently saw another nice Prevost that had a massive mural on the side that might have meant a lot to the guy who put it on, but it was just ugly to me.

I saw a custom coach in Houston last week that was pretty sweet from a distance. When I got close it was a Marathon that had a wheel chair lift, no shower, a crapper square in the middle of the coach and no bed. In the end, the guy was trying to rationalize buying an XL2 that had a ton of issues (at least $200K to rebuild the inside) and the generator was smoking pretty badly so it must have had a gazillion hours on it. They were asking +/-$215K, but it was a fixer upper.

Guess the story on custom art is that if you like it, it is a plus. If you don't, it's a ding.

From what we can SEE, it looks pretty clean. Good way of marketing it, noting that it had been through a Prevost facility, FWIW.

(I fixed the link so it works).
