welp, i guess it was just a matter of time. i dragged my carcass outta bed
this morning, quaf'd a quick coupla gulps of freshly poured coffee and
stumbled over to the door. havin' grabbed the wally world premium trash
container, aka, plastic bag, from the kitchen cabinet, i was ready to approach
curbside in my trusty boots & coots hat with anxious anticipation of the noon day sun.
actually, it was about 8 am.

anyway, as i approached the door with customary swagger, er, beleagured
shuffle, i grasped the door handle with accustomed command, and, SNAP -- the
little bugger broke off in my hand. oh god, looks like it's gonna be one of
those days.........

who'd'a thought a well designed, sturdy piece of cast potmetal could have
so readily met with such an untimely death.

even longer story short, advanced auto parts came to my rescue (actually, was
fortunately only 5 miles away), with a handy dandy replacement door handle.
this nifty little unit, part number 77002, comes in a smart red and white
container with stylish clear plastic cover, and is designed to fit luxurious
gm models such as the buick skylark, and 1996-68 [sic] chevy nova.

hmmmm........ a million dollar bus (well, SOME people's are) and an $8
essential part.

go figure.
