I need a new door seal on my 2000 Marathon XLV. Looks like a pretty straight forward DIY project, but to be on the safe side, I am wondering if any one has done this and what kind of issues should I be aware of? Or is this something I would be better off scheduling the next time I have service at Prevost? Any opinions would be appreciated.

I'be never replaced that seal. I wonder if the original seal is still available.

Today, i installed 22 feet of brand new Entry door seal. It was a fairly easy job, scrape out the old and install the new. The new seal was adhesive backed and came from Prevost. Took me about 2 hours start to finish.

We replaced ours with “said” part and our door now is extremely difficult to slam shut. Don’t be surprised at the hinge side, mirror arm level where there is the greatest “pinch” at the door window frame transition, gasket comes unglued and torn. We Really dont think the new seal was designed correctly imho

My new seal is identical to the original except it is new. :-) Very happy with the results, no wind or road noise at all now.

Replaced mine last year very straight forward no issues, of course it will be a tighter fit which is what you want.

As is the case with Jim's, the door on my new to me 2000 Royale XL is extremely hard to close. The prior owner had Prevost replace the seal about 18 months ago with a XL2 door seal because the original seal was apparently not available at that time.

Based on Mike and Jerry's comments it would seem the door seal for the XL may be back in stock.

The XL seal is definitely in stock. I believe TN is where mine came from.
