I am looking at getting a trailer for occasionally taking my wife's car on trips. My daughter is very prone to motion sickness and my F-150 does not work, and my wife's car will not flat tow. We do one trip out west (about 1 month) and a couple shorter trips. I am trying to decide between an open vs enclosed trailer, if anyone is able to provide some guidance I would really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Greg

It really comes down to how much protection you want to give to the car. An open trailer is less expensive and lighter.

You might also consider renting a car for the frequency you need to bring your car. I know one owner that never tows. As they say, Enterprise will pick you up.

Greg, if you insist on the hassle of a trailer, you might as well be enclosed despite the extra weight. I tow a 32' stacker, but only when racing and never have to unhitch. I can't imagine going through the hassle of a trailer for normal travel and camping. Geo.
