View Full Version : Ride Height Failure

I had the coil for ride height control in the 5 port level low manifold fail. Failure of this coil may not be obvious for miles of driving. At some point the suspension will lower enough to cause a noticeable difference in the ride. In my case, the front suspension stayed close to ride height when I discovered the problem. The rear suspension was about 3 inches too low.

The biggest noticeable difference was created by the towed's tow bar angle. As you move from a level tow bar the push-pull effect is increased when your rear suspension rises and falls.

The good news is you can use one of the coils in the level low manifold as they are inactive when the ignition key is on. The better news for me is I'm in Jacksonville so it will be a quick trip to Prevost Monday morning for a replacement before we continue our summer trip with our grandsons.

Glad you caught it at a convenient spot. Hopefully, the coil will be your one fail for the trip. Enjoy your trip.
