For those of us who keep the bus in the garage for several weeks at a time, these little stands are good for extending the life of your wiper blades. May even work better than the tennis balls. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/Wiper-Stand-off-Wedges-Set-of-2/74069/&?&affiliateid=5193&gclid=CjwKEAjwz_-nBRC0zbDb_YOT1TgSJACW2VECyV0o_IHNV7XLVdUNBG8e1onot Zj4_98NmYze40jLRBoC1Trw_wcB

Hopefully, I won't offend anyone with this post, but here's what I do to keep the wipers off the windshield when the coach is stored.
I use two rather large pop rivets through the holes in the wiper arms. Lift the arms and slip the nail-end of the rivet in place to position the arm to hold the blade off the windshield. If you forget to remove the rivet prior to driving away, the rivet will stay in place. I use these when installing the sun screens over the windshield and under the wiper blades. The rivets hold the blades away from the windshield making it much easier to install the sun screen without the chance of breaking a wiper arm (very expensive to replace).

The rivets are long enough to go all the way through the arm (about 1 1.4 inch) and the rivet end is long enough for a good grip.

Grizz,
Great idea! I've been using tennis balls when my dog is willing to share.

I went immediately after reading this post and removed the tennis balls and installed 3/16 pop rivets and was really impressed with this idea. It could be one of the best things since sliced loaf bread. I'm serious!

I don't know, sliced bread is pretty hard to beat and it comes in so many varieties. :-)

I learned another Bus Pro Tip at the Quartzsite Rally last January from my good friend TerryA. I had no idea these holes in the wiper arms were used to prop the wipers off the Windshield. When I got home, I made a stainless steel Knob and pressed it on a pin. Thanks for all the tips and tricks, looking forward to hang out with the Bus enthusiasts this coming January again.
