Mini Rally March 2015

Hi Gang,

I would like to put together a mini-rally get together in March.

I am thinking South Florida ?? Everglades Isle ?? or Naples RV Resort ??

Possible dates - anytime 2nd or 3rd week of March …………..

If anyone has any thoughts and/or suggestions please let me know -

I agree, Everglades Isle is perfect for this sort of thing. I know Pelican Lake is booked in March and I suspect the Motorcoach Resort is also.

Like the Everglades Isle idea. We have stayed at Motorcoach in March and agree it might be hard to get in there. We were just there over thanksgiving and I know they are completely booked for February.

Everglades Isle can accommodate up to 20 - 25 of us Friday March 6 - Whenever you want to leave. Nightly rate is $ 89 .

This is a GOOD place - lots of restaurants around neat things to do.

Everglades City was one of my favorite motorcycle destinations on the weekend ride from Key Biscayne (home at the time). There was an older small hotel with a great restaurant there on the canal where we'd rest and eat before heading home, or sometimes up SR 29 to Alligator Alley (SR 84, now I-595) and down SR 27 back home. What a great way to relax on a weekend - listening to the purr of the Harley engine and enjoying the beautiful Florida sunshine. That was back in the mid-70s.
I am so looking forward to this mini-rally to see how that little city changed and to see if the old hotel and restaurant are still there.

We are here. Karen and I are on Site # 45. 68 Degrees right now, up to near 80 each day. Alligator alley is closed right now according to the news on tv.

The name of the place here in Everglades City is the Rod and Gun club. While you are here don't miss this place. It's over 150 years old and has t changed, at least I the past 35 years since my last visit. It is awesome to see.

We had a REALLY GOOD TIME. This is the first time that I've been to a type club rally since my Airstream days a long time back and what a good time we had. This was Barbara's first rally. What a really great group of people. Thanks for making us welcome. Again, thanks to the group and what are the dates for the Everglades Isle event next year?
