I've heard on a few Prevost owners that have found themselves in a bit of a pickle having left the roadway. In all cases I'm aware of, the only think that got hurt was the driver's pride. I saw this picture posted today that once again reminds me of the strength of the Prevost chassis. If there is just one reason to own a Prevost conversion over a traditional plastic coach, it's safety.

I poked around the web and came across this (click here) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMFRnif7emc) roll over test video of a XL. Although the bus is totalled, it seems like the driver and passenger should have survived with nothing more than minor injuries. Of course, this is a test video, how about a real world accident. Here's a movie stunt video (click here) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHhyGHLq1ww). Although this to is not real world, it is probably worse than a real world accident. Even in this one it looks like the driver and passenger would survive. I'd like to see the same with a traditional plastic coach.

Next time you think that campsite is just to narrow, be thankful you're not this driver (click here) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBcsQcOyuIo).

As said by Sergeant Phil Esterhaus on Hill Street Blues, "And hey! Let's be careful out there."

I learned my lesson years ago with my Monaco. I was returning to my lake house when I decided to try entering the property thru an open field. That same day the Fire dept. Decided to test a hydrant on my property. They released a few hundred gallons of water which left a 3 foot wide wet run off. I saw it but thinking the ground was rock hard I drove thru it. The Coach sank down to the axle in the front. Cracked the front end fiberglass. 15000.00 of damage .
Now , I stay off of shoulders and anything that doesn't look like a Truck or Bus has been there.
