We've talked many times about the importance of sanitizing your fresh water system, but this link takes yo to an article as a reminder that if you don't routinely do this, you are not only taking the risk of bacteria growing in your tank, but you are reducing the life of your water pump.

Good read Dale,
As I read some of the comments from the link as far as smell I think people need to remember
allot of rvs including my prevost have the Grey water vented into the rv right behind the sink traps these one way vents get dried out and let air go either way so when you run fresh water it goes into the drain and then expels the foul smell of Grey water into your motorhome, very easy and cheap fix, I replaced 3 in my bus,
I also plan on following up on your reminder and clean my freshwater tank,
One thing I like about my bus vs my old class c motorhome is that my water is always drawn from my water tank so it is in constant use my other motorhome when hooked up to city water bypassed the main tank , which helps for full timers because the turn over of fresh water is constant,
