Antennas

My bus has 3 of these antennas on the front and one on the rear. Does anyone have any idea what they are for? I have been decluttering the top and would like to remove or at least take off the mast on each one if there is no need for them. I have already removed a batwing, a Motosat and a satellite dome.

You could take them off one at a time and see what doesn't work?

I'd guess:Radio dash, CB, radio kitchen or bedroom. Let us know? Maybe a gas card to the winner?

I can rule out CB. There is a regular CB antenna by the driver's window also.

I have one AM/FM Antenna for the front Cabinet Stereo and one for the bedroom AM/FM Stereo receiver. Also, one for the dash Radio.

Dale, I agree with some of the others, they look like the radio antennas, on my bus.

I guess they are radio antennas. I have the stereo up front and the dash radio, and the stereo in the rear. I don't know what the other front one is. Thanks for everyone's input.

I believe they are like the old curb feelers. They let you know how close you were to having a real big problem. They go wap, wap, wap as you pass under a bridge that was almost to low.:):)

Patrick, You may be right. I hear them every time I pull the bus in the barn. The satellite dome was the highest thing, now it's the antennas. I hope I don't ever hear them while traveling.

Reminds me of a trick I used to use on my semi. lotta low viaducts in Chicago.

I would take the CB antenna and mount it at the drivers window and mount it so it was exactly 1 inch higher that the next highest thing on the vehicle. It became the height indicator and if it cleared I knew I was good to go when things r real tight.

Im going to guess that 1 of them is the am fm?? I will guess another is an old analog phone antenna.
