Hi Dick. Buses and Convertors have been around for 5 decades and more. Some are still around, most have closed or been bought by other companies. Prevost has been used by many convertors since the 70's . Before that it was mostly converting used Transport buses.
Prevost, began making buses for Convertors specifically in 1978. http://motorhome.prevostcar.com/heritage/history-highlights

According to Prevost, there are over 15,000 Prevosts on the road in North America. I don't know how many are conversions however.
Early in POG's History there was a thread about the quantity of conversions based upon the 5 or so convertors at the time producing 30 to 50 units per year. Those days are gone now with only a few convertors producing 15 or so units a year right now.
Also, there are entertainer coaches, executive coaches ( The President has two Prevost converted Coaches) ,and so on so its hard to keep track.
