Anynody know what the black rubber old school dimmer floor style switch is for by my left foot? My high beams are on the steering stalk. Thanks.

Thats probably your over ride so when the engine shutdown light comes on you can push the switch and keep running until you can get off the road.

I think you have it Dale. Probably why the check engine flashed today when I pressed it. :)

It seems that this switch can be assigned many talents. Mine engages an air-operated lock release so I can manually adjust my steering wheel position.
On mine it is the air horns.

Funny story about this floor switch. The previous owner of our Bus, a Commercial Airline Pilot, told me to never ever push that switch. Told me to always keep my foot away from the switch. When I asked what the switch did he replied " In case of an emergency, it will lock all wheels and bring you to a sliding stop and stuff will fly all over inside the Bus. " After diligently dodging the button for months research revealed what Dale said was correct.

We r talking about 3 different switches that r all there in certain buses but pushing the steering wheel tilt does not turn the check engine light on. Horn button is not it either. I think dale nailed it
