I am experiencing another problem with my generator cooling fan. After about 10 minutes running time, the breaker on the generator trips and shuts down the cooling fan. The air flow is not blocked in the generator compartment; the belt driving the fan is not too tight; its a new motor driving the fan and all connections are tight. Any ideas?

Richard, Is it a Power Tech Generator ? If so, who is the Convertor and what year is your Bus ?

Is the circuit breaker only for the fan? If not, then have you eliminated the other loads on the breaker? If it is dedicated, is its value near the same as the motor? If so, don't rule out a bad breaker. The fan motor is knew; make sure its current draw can be handled by the breaker. The new motor may require more power. I would look at the start capacitor if the motor wasn't new.

Usually there is a relay in the loop and also possibly a thermostatic switch
