Who went? Where did you stay? What was the cost and amenities?

Anyone ever stay at what looks like an RV park south of 16th Street right across from the vehicle tunnel between turns 1 and 2?

Ive gone a few times. The "field" and I mean field to the wast of the track where everybody used to camp was grass.

In good weather its fine if it rains all bets R off. There is a HUGE party out there the night before the race that rivals Marti Gra IMO more of an attraction than the race itself for many.

Never knew of a spot south of the track been probably 5yr since I went it was the year Lettermans car won. Lot of hoopla for 1 500 mile race

The way the rear wheels are now practicly enclosed is making it difficult to define the cars as open wheel any more. Ugly
