Entrance on the drivers side is definatly in keeping with the unique theme.

What kind of a chassis is it on? Deuce and half? 5 ton?

I don't think its fake. I suspect its real!

Alek, of course it's real. This is Fleetwood's entry level Bounder for Australia. There's not just a door and awning on one side, they have them on both sides. Regardless of how you park or which side of a camp site has the utilities, you always have a covered view of the best side.

The chassis may be a MRAP or Unimog (just guessing).

Joe, very cool. Too bad the RV industry museum doesn't have one these.

I hope I've done this right so everyone can see the picture. After seeing the picture of the Rugged RV, I thought I'd share this. While a Prevost might be the dream of many in the RV lifestyle, for many its a goal that is a long time in coming if even attainable. Some with that goal take steps along the way to get to the ultimate destination. I don't know the converter or the owner of this unique piece of RV equipment, but it wouldn't surprise me that his or her ultimate goal is a Prevost.

Gives new meaning to the word "Bounder"!

You're right Dick. Sometimes we just have to work our way to that ultimate goal. I would hate to go across country in this unit (fuel mileage is probably worse than a Prevost), but I'm sure this guy enjoys the attention and utility he gets from the this unique RV.

A guy just has to wonder who many of the Prevost converters started out like this ... but won't admit it.

If that one is real, then this one is for US market :D

These may be produced in Winnebago's Rough and Ready Division.
