When/if your backup camera fails, a good place to go for a new one is RV Cams, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA. Tim Lazaroe is truly a backup system specialist that has been in business for many years. http://www.rvcams.com/ (http://www.rvcams.com/)

When mine went bad, he helped me get a replacement that required minimum modifications to the existing placement. They have a large inventory of systems and accessories and offer excellent customer service, technical support and good prices. Phone # is 877-378-2267

Dale, was it necessary to run a new cable or could you use the existing one, or use cable end adapters?

I was able to use the existing cable. Tim is very good at telling you what you need for the install.

Jim,

Good question. If you search on "Backup Camera", this entry will be one of the first to show up, but there will be numerous answers. If you go to "Advanced Search" and enter "Backup Camera" and limit it to "Search Titles Only", you will only get a couple answers to your search. If all else fails, just ask, and someone will know how to find this post.

Another way to find this post, is go to the bottom left of any post and click "View Tag Cloud" and do a "Tag Search" on "camera" or backup camera". Since I entered a couple tags for this thread, this is the only thread that will come up at this point.

Jim,

Rather than hunt through the threads some day in the future, I clicked on the link and then bookmarked the website for future reference.

I tend to have a better chance of remembering and finding this info if the day ever comes when I need it.

I have used these guys too and it was an easy install and great ordering stuff they ask all the right questions.

On a scale of 1 to 10 Id give this one maybe a 3.

1 camera Color Night Vision voice actuated speaker Decent size screen.

Has anyone upgraded to the door camera that goes on and the screen changes with the right turn signal??

I think that is a great feature.

Joe, I had turn signal activated side cameras on my last coach. I never used them while driving; I just like mirrors. However, I did find them useful when backing into some sites. I wouldn't go to the trouble of installing them if I didn't have them.
