ROOF AIR CAUTION

Lost one of the Air Conditioner covers on one of my roof air cond. Ordered a new one from ICON DIRECT and guess what?

THEY CANNOT BE PAINTED TO MATCH THE OTHERS!!!!!!
THEY SAID IT WAS HIGH QUALITY HMW WITH UV INHIBITORS. WHATEVER THAT IS!!

Dan, I would bet that you could have it lightly sandblasted and it would hold paint. At least it would be worth a try. (before you repaint the bus)
Or just buy a new bus!, you have got the money!

Oh Dan, I failed to mention that a "self etching primer" is now available for this type of thing. We use it in car restoration on chrome and polished stainless steel prior to painting.

Thanks for all the info and if I sold gas at these prices like Tuga, I would get another bus! I have ordered another one which is supposed to be of the original composition and can be painted. We will see!

I've lost two over the years from sun damage and cracking. In fact I keep a pre-painted spare under the bed. It takes two rattle cans from Autozone to fully cover one.
