I just received my Third order from Trans-Specialties and could not be more satisfied with their process of delivering their products.

I might add that one order was ordered at and delivered in the middle of the P.O.G. 10 Rally now that is a fast response in my opinion.

All three orders were placed immediately upon receiving my funds, and as promised they were shipped the same day.

Again I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their products.

To see what they have to offer go to trans-specialists.net

I have to second this recommendation.

I have used Tom at trans-specialists.net for several purchases and could not be happier.
The latest purchase was 5 Lifeline 8D house batteries, great price and even better service.
I conned him into helping me install them since he is spending January here at TGO.

Now if I can get 6 or 7 years out of the new batteries I'll be even happier.

I got nearly 8 years from my first set of Lifeline 8D's. How? Never discharge them below 12.2 volts; float them at 13.1 or 13.2 volts; and install a Power Pulse unit, by Pulse Tech Products, on each battery to remove sulfation.

Paul,

That is great news. My Lifeline 8Ds are 6 years old and I was wondering how much life was left in them. I follow what you have posted above to the letter. I installed a Power Pulse unit when they were new in January 2006. Looks like it is paying dividends!

When did you determine that the end was near? Mine hold a charge now for about 20 hours running the Amana ref/freezer, TV, and a few lights.

I'll be buying mine from the TrukMan when the time comes.:o

FYI Just got off the phone with Lifeline Tech Support. Their recommendation is that if you are normally connected to AC with your inverter keeping the batteries on a float charge, the use of a desulphator is redundant. As an aside, I've been using battery maintainers such as Battery Tender in aircraft for years and they greatly extend battery life. Is the Pulse one step better? Lots of controversy on the car geek blogs. Here's one:
