Hey POGgers,
Janet and I stopped in northeast Alabama a couple of weeks ago and stayed at DeSoto State Park. Solid 50AMP full hook-up. Under $30 with senior discount. The pull thrus are very bus friendly. This would make a great place for a mini rally for those of you who live near. CAUTION--do not enter the park from the north. You will be a very unhappy busdriver. Enter from Fort Payne, the road is much straighter and 55 in some spots. The park has a meeting room that will accomodate 70 people. It's in a beautiful setting of hardwoods and rolling hills.
DeSoto Falls and Little River Canyon are close by.

There are a couple of great golf courses near there as well.

What is it coming from the north that we may need to be aware of? Thanks Gary

Gary,
The road is very narrow, curvey, with low tree branches. Speed limit is 25 but frankly that's too fast for a bus. Many turns down to 5 mph. Coming in from Fort Payne in a snap.
