Greg,
They are bots not actual people. They get stopped before they can get to forums and other places like The POG Member Resource. Also, this site, even on the ADMIN side contains no
information financial or otherwise that would they could use even if they could get to it. Even I can't see passwords, but can change them if necessary.

A BOT is a technical term used by the Producers of the Lawrence Welk Show that Jon will gladly explain to you in detail! It has something to do with production of bubbles.:p

Gary, it's short for the word robot, and used to save keystrokes, they're everywhere always looking for a piece of someones action.

I'm no closer to understanding what's a bot. Now I know Lawrence Welk used to say 'and a one and a two' and also 'tank you, tank you'.

Gary - A bot (short for "robot") is a program that operates as an agent (http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci211538,00.html) for a user or another program or simulates a human activity. On the Internet, the most ubiquitous bots are the programs, also called spider (http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci213035,00.html)s or crawler (http://searchsoa.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid26_gci211854,00.html)s, that access Web sites and gather their content for search (http://searchsoa.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid26_gci212955,00.html) engine indexes.
