It has recently come to my attention that members are listing in their signature lines, the Number of their coach. I gave Truk a book that was in our 97 Royale that was comprised of Royale owners and their bus numbers. Addresses and contact info was also listed in the owners book. Dolly Parton's name and info was listed in the book.
Years ago when I was working my way thru Nursing School, I worked at a Radio Station as a disc jockey and had the privalege to interview Dolly Parton in her bus after the concert. I can't remember what the number of her coach was but Truk could look it up in the book I gave him. Would like to know if the coach now belongs to any POG member??? Just curious here.:)

I imagine Dolly had several coaches, but one of them is on display at her amusement park, Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, TN.

David, is the one on display a ROYALE? The one I am referring to was a ROYALE. Truk might pipe in here soon and tell us the year and number.

It's a 1994, and it is a Royale. Here's an article about it: http://www.heraldtimesonline.com/stories/2009/04/19/outdoors.qp-7917632.sto

Truth is, my wife drags me and the little ones to Dollywood routinely!

Sandy,

It was bus 95172 or a 1995 with build number 172.

I also can add, I know that the '94 bus is NOT the one I went in and did my interview with her! Wishful thinking though:D:rolleyes: I'm sorry to say,it would have been a REAL VINTAGE coach today.

She is a pretty bus though and especially without those Zip Dee awnings on her:p.

My first bus was a 40 ft. 1981 Eagle 10 9 bunk entertainer that I bought from Barbara and Louise Mandrell when they stopped touring. I loved that old Eagle!
