Air Bag question

Well all the new air bags have arrived from Prevost. As each bag was being removed we found that there are no nuts on the air line fitting studs. Each bag has only a nut on the top stud. Has anyone found this before while installing new bags? We are putting nuts on the air fitting studs

Have replaced the airbags on both of my busses. One a '94 and currently a '98. Both came from the factory with no nut on the air fitting and I didn't install one.

The top should have nuts on both the stud and the air fitting stud. I believe it is presumed the nut from the original bags will be reused.

Note that the top stud and bottom studs are both 1/2" but I believe the top stud is 1/2-13 and the bottom studs are 1/2-20 or something like that. I don't know why they use fine and coarse threads.

When in doubt I refer to the parts book. Depending on year and model, some call for nuts and some do not.

Why there is a difference is beyond me.

Replaced all our airbags this weekend. Nuts were missing on the bottom, installed new 1/2-13 all around.
