Great article about Rick DeSilvia in this week's Automotive News. Tells his history and struggles getting where he is today. A lot of it reminded me of years ago when I had similar struggles building car dealerships and dealing with the "government idiots" Hope you have much more success. Ed

Thats what I am talking about - the real American Dream....hard work and perserverance in pursuit of your vision. Congrats Rick.

(you can send me a gallon of that New Jersey lemon flavored moonshine you boys were drinking in Maine?)

Great story. I relate some what as I was a Subaru dealer for 17 years. The phone rang one day years ago wanting to know if I would sell and how much. We sold and have not been gainfully employed since. The car business was great for us.

Congrats on the story Rick. Appears to be a well deserved pat on the back.

I know there are a lot of these kinds of stories in POG because I have been fortunate enough to hear a few of them. I am proud to be associated with this group and the slice of American pie that it represents.

There is no such thing as "flying under the radar" with this organization! Thank you for your kind comments. Believe me I never take a day for granted, this is a great country we live in, now if I can prevent what I worked for from being redistributed I'll be OK.

Rick, just a wonderful article about a very determined and accomplished man who also includes rescue animals in his showroom:-) The article was indeed great, however what all of you likely don't know is that Rick has a Pilots N Paws slideshow of our transports running all the time at his dealership! Thank you Rick, you are very much appreciated!

Fantastic! I am so proud to be a member of this great group (POG)! We can only hope that a little bit of the class exhibited by many of our members will rub off on me some day! :o

Rick,

Congratulations on a great article! Everyone likes to hear these stories of success. It's people like yourself that have made our country

what it is today! It's funny how when years of untold hours of hard work finally start to come to fruition it sometimes gets defined as "luck".

Keep up the good work!

Chris

This Italian boy [ only 58 ] is Legendary. He deserves full credit for his accomplishments with support from Wendy. His Cousin Tony taught him how to Gas 'em and Wire Brush 'em. He recently added the credential of " Big Gun Sharpshooter " to his list of accomplishments. I know some of you have seen him perform On Stage at a POG Auction. Just wait till I figure out how to post the video of Rick and his 500 Magnum titled " YOU TALKIN TO ME ? "

Sure would be nice if there were some way to get a name to put with a picture. What a great pic of a group of obviously happy campers.
