Does anyone know how to decode the VIN?

Here's a number I picked off a recent EBAY ad: 2PCW3349061028910
Can anyone clue me into what the different digits represent?

Thanks,

Start here:

I'm hurrying thru stuff and haven't done a great search, but maybe some of the search experts like Jim C can do a better job of getting more detail.

Just by Googling the number I came up with these pages, not exactly what you were asking for, but maybe interesting to you.

Also interesting information;

http://www.autohopper.com/resources/articles/vehicle_identification_numbers.asp

http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/5-1-2006-94938.asp

In this one notice on the right, the fourth item down the column, VIN number look up.
( that should have been, VIN look up and not VIN vehicle identification number number look up ) as printed :rolleyes:

THE TENTH DIGIT IS THE YEAR IF THE CHASSIS, SO THIS IS A 2006 CHASSIS AND SHELL. THE LETTERS AND NUMBERS 1-9 RELATE TO THE MODEL OF THE SHELL AND THE ENGINE. 11-17 ARE PART OF THE SEQUENTIAL SERIAL NUMBER FOR IDENTIFICATION. JUST LIKE A CAR OR TRUCK.

My parts book has a VIN description for XLII's.For instance 2PCX33495Y1026951 The X position=XLII coaches a W in that position =MTH bus shell a Y in that position =MTH bus shell Entertainer.The 9 is a 45 foot coach or a 0 is in place of the 9 is a 40 foot coach.The Y is the year position.The last 4 digits,6951 is the sequence number.
