Hello there!

The fuzzy hubby and I met Ray and Cathy Davis in Amarillo very recently. They were on their way to the POG rally and we were headed to Mr Oliver's to look at his 1997 Angola.

Mr Oliver now has a 2008 Winnebago in stock and the Angola is no longer for sale.

Cheers,
Sherry

Congratulations on your purchase. My 1994 Angola is nicer than my 97 Royal. I just decided on an attempted strategy for my own transaction. I'd want to trade my 94 Angola, 97 Royale and 99 H4-45 shell all in for one nice XLII double slide OR an XLII 45 non slide with some cash back. Or something of the sort. I estimate the actual cash value of my 3 coaches to be between $400k and $450k total. Isn't this about the range for a 2003-2005 double slide XLII ? Think so but just staring the shopping. I don't want anything newer because I'm told all the emission junk starts going on the engine. Plus I can't afford to put much cash with my 3 trades.

I will probably need to go through a dealer to do this type of trade but if I could find someone with an XLII that wanted to translate that into my two coaches it would be both mutually beneficial and cheaper than putting the dough in the dealers pocket. Long shot I know. I don't like to go through dealers if I don't have to but in this case it seems like the sensible choice. I'd appreciate input on what to choose. My "must haves" are roof airs instead of cruise airs and if the coach has slides I think I'm wise to insist on finding Prevost factory slides but since I have not researched much I could be mistaken about them being superior.

Excuse me Jeff, was that a welcome or a sales pitch? :D

To clarify my first post, the fuzzy one and I are now owners of the 1997 Prevost by Angola that was formerly in Mr Oliver's RV stock.

Congratulations, Sherry and Fuzzy, and welcome to POG.
We just attended our first POG rally and had a fantastic time.....what a great group of very friendly, helpful people.
Hopefully you'll be attending a rally soon and you can show off your new ride!
Enjoy!!

Sorry guys. I re-read and see that I should have made a new thread instead of trying to reduce threads by virtue of the Angola part common. There's a balance between reducing clutter on the forum and thread creep. Will find elsewhere to ask the questions instead of thread creep. In case you don't know, you can call on Pantera Coach for any service or questions as they are the same crew that built your coach.

Congratulations and welcome to POG. The Davis' were some of the first POG folks we met and you couldn't have selected a better ambassador for the group. Have fun in your new coach and don't hesitate to jump in on any of the discussions. Angola has a very good reputation as a convertor so you done good.

Thanks for the welcome!

We have finished the deal, moved our stuff into the new coach, and hit the road for Denver tomorrow morning!

We are currently transiting from Princeton, TX to Denver, here's a few shots from somewhere in OK:

We are both very happy with the deal and the coach! Paul Davis made sure everything on the coach was in working order before we rolled out. The PDI was more thorough than the one we had on our new Winnebago!

Welcome to the asylum. You have come to the right spot to get answers to all your questions, and on occasion some of them may actually be correct.

Spend some time on the forum and going over the articles and posts. You will learn a lot about your coach, Prevost conversions in general, and how POG members can and will help you with the learning experience. Sometimes it feels like you are overwhelmed, but we all have gone through it and it is likely any questions or help you need will be immediately available. We have members in Denver and if you provide them with the usual new member gift of a Rolex they may even be able to offer help.

Does the Rolex have to be 18k, or will 14k be good enough? ;)

For this crowd the Rolexes are to be the gold that turns your wrist green.

Well Hi guys. I didn't catch this thread since I didn't read much right after POG 9 rally, due to the quick trip hope. I had kinda expected you would have joined us in Kerrville, but am glad to hear that you've got a coach you are enjoying.

Let us know if you've ever getting out the Southern CA direction. AND welcome to POG!!!
