Here is a link to the National Operation Lifesaver web site. There are statistics for each state. So check it out and see just how safe your state is compared to the rest of the nation. Or better yet, the states you will be traveling through on your next trip.

I'd hate to hear of any of our POG family getting wiped out in one of these crashes. So remember at a highway rail grade crossings in the event of a tie, you lose - the train always wins!

Jon, taking off my traffic safety engineer hat would be about as likely as you taking off your manufacturing hat. Neither are easily done. I feel a responsibility to point out unsafe conditions and certainly stopping a vehicle, any kind of vehicle on railroad tracks results in an unsafe condition. I can be just as "light" as anyone on most subjects, traffic safety is just not one of them.:cool:

If we're all a little more aware of railroad crossings then all is good. :)
