Just finishing up a great trip to South Dakota. Stayed at the Rafter J Campground and it was great and so were the peope. Mt. Rushmore was so aweome!!! Went there for the lighting ceremony at night which was great--but the way they ended up the ceremony was even greater by honoring the Veterans by having them come on stage in a flag ceremony which will be a memory not soon forgotten. There is a great restaurant in Lead,SD called the Round House a must go to if your in the area. Make sure you go there before Deadwood,SD otherwise no money for dinner(haha)

We came back through the Mt. Rushmore area on our way home from Yellowstone a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed the day and night views as well. Also went through Custer park while there.

Yellowstone was great! We hit most everything there and did some out of park stuff too. Had a great time on the whole trip except our 7½ hour ordeal at Rocky Mountain Truck getting the egr valve wiring fixed. The repair only took about ½ an hour, but the diagnosis and phone calls to Detroit Diesel before every step took the rest of the time. They were great at the shop, just that Detroit is picky on warranty claims and make them jump through LOTS of hoops before authorizing the repair. Turned out to be a bad plug! Cut it off and replaced it and all is now well.

A few weeks ago we also shared the mighty hills and scenery South Dakota has to offer .

Debbie loved the "Rattlesnake Alert".....................
