Just2 Bus Garage and Workshops

Building a 2400 Sq Ft Bus garage and workshops. Bus wing to be 20' X 50' with a 4' X 10'-6' deep pit.
My workshop will be 24' X 30'. Dani's Studio will be above mine in a loft style. I will post pictures as we go along.

While you still can make that pit full length and add 5'. I never thought I would not have my 40 footer and now my garage is too short.

You will never regret running the pit full length.

I built mine 50' deep as well when I had a 40', then when I got the 45', it sure is tight on both ends. I wish I had made it a bit deeper. How do you like us suggesting you spend more money?

I like your plan, but I second, or third, the thought of extending the pit the full length of your coach plus some. Mine is 48' and I wouldn't want it one inch shorter. Most of the time, bigger is better. Good luck. I look forward to watching your progress.

Jon, I will be using the area where the bus is from time to time to build large projects. Need a flat surface. I have also extended the foundation behind the bus garage by 30'. Two reasons one is a place to park our trailer and the other it will be very easy to add length in the future if needed. I can make a cover for a full length pit, but the main problem is that it took us three days to dig though solid rock just to get it ten feet long and six feet deep. We have lots of rock here.

Here are some of the rocks that came out of the ground in the foundation. As you can see there is a challenge to dig in our area.
