While awaiting the arrival of the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps in New Iberia, LA today, we had some time to explore the local area. In the charming historic downtown, we came upon a 1930's era restored art nouveau vaudeville theater called the Evangeline Theater!Of course, we could not pass up the opportunity for pictures with our Evangeline "posed" in front of the theater!

I was wondering if "Evangeline" was from the poem by Longfellow?

I believe the Evangeline Theater is named after the title character of the Longfellow poem. My Evangeline is named after a song by the band "Little Big Town".

Could someone move the bus, its blocking the view of that neat old theater!
Mike, that is really cool. This week while in Bar Harbor L.L. Bean we bumped into our neighbor from across the street in Southern Pines. He was with some blonde we had not met before and was calling him Jim. The neighbor's real name is Steve. What's up with that.
Life is full of these little finds!

Looks like Will's neighbor Steve (Jim) will be treating him and Carol real well in the hopes they keep that chance meeting to themselves.
