View Full Version : Radiator Fan Clutch throwing breaker

My radiator fan clutch is throwing the circuit breaker. It is not causing any problem with the engine overheating. From what I have found on the Internet, when the breaker is thrown, the clutch is engaged all the time. I think it is supposed to engage when the engine reaches 190°. My engine temp never goes above 195°.

The previous owner had the fan clutch replaced by Prevost just prior to selling.

Any insights to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Ron

Ron, If you know the clutch was recently replaced, I would make sure I didn't have a breaker that is getting weak or a defective sensor that is telling the fan to run all the time.
