If any of you received an email from me "funeraldir@aol.com" I apologize. Hackers got into my address book and sent everyone an email from me. Subject line says"Hi" and then there is a website for Viagra, Cialas and all the other ED drugs. This was not sent by me and I apologize to anyone that was offended by it.

Sorry to hear, very similar incident happened to me about a week ago, many got messages over my Email account stating how I was in jail in Wales while visiting England. A real mess and scary, but seems not that unusual an event in this world of Internet & Electronics. Sorry if any of you received anything of this nature from me , Denny, I empathize with you.

Rodger,
I did receive your email but just prior to that I was on POG and so were you so I knew it was not you. I thought that it was some kind of spam and they were using your name.

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was just on one computer that I use but even after I switched computers it happened two more times. I actually went in and deleted my email database to put a stop to it. May or may not work. I appologize to anyone who was offended. Actually a couple of our fellow POG members sent me a thank you email for the great deals on the link.

Ted: I kept getting that email from you and I wondered if you were repping for them now. So I tried to buy at a discount and they told me I was underage. Mango and Jdub had bought out all the good deals.

Denny - been there, done that! A while ago, some spammers hacked my alternate e-mail address that I kept through Hotmail and sent massive numbers of spam e-mails to people in my contact list. I went 'round & 'round with Microsoft about shutting down the spammer's access and never got anywhere. My only recourse was to delete my hotmail contact list and close my hotmail account. The good news is that I don't think I had any POG member e-mail addresses in my hotmail contact list!

A further thought on this vexing problem which, I am told by a "Computer/Lan Tech" who helps people with these problems (son in law, so I figure he was safe to use), is that he says most of these "Scammers" are usually looking for threads that may lead to Credit Cards, Banking , etc, so they read your contact list and your Email History with a scanner that looks for choice words such as Money,Accounts, etc, so watch out on those Emails from Ebay,Amazon, etc that tell you an item is shipped , etc. They then contact these venues in an attempt to garner your accounts to use (to buy Prevost parts?). So, groom those Contact and Email history lists to be proactive in protecting your Internet.
