Generator Died Today

My gen. did an auto shutdown today, the cause was overtemp. due to a broken fan belt.
My question is, after belt replacement, is there any other items [due to high temp]that require checking prior to starting?

I have the Powertec 17.5 gen.

I wonder at what temp the gen. shut down?

I had a shutdown and it was at about 240 degrees,if you broke a belt and that was the cause,after the belt is replaced I would top off the coolant and the overflow tank and fire it up.I would let it get to normal running temperature and then shut it down and let it cool to see if I needed to add more coolant.I doubt that it pushed out more than a quart of coolant.

Jack, thanks for the help. Belt has been replaced, coolant looks good, just was waiting for guidance from the Group prior to starting up again.

I think that I saw that shut down temp in the manual. Mine are at the coach so I can't look it up for you.
I checked on line and it stated 230 degrees.

Sawdust, thanks for the LinK and info. My manual is not readable as it is a bad copy of the real manual. I'll noodle around on their site.
