So what kind of storm was it? It looks as though some giant came through swinging a telephone pole.
What was it that caused such severe damage to the vehicles yet left them in neat and orderly lines?

Wow -- that's pretty amazing :eek: and sad :(. The unfortunate thing is that according to the few news blurbs I read about it, the cars that received the most damage were the ones closest to what would have seemed like shelter due to the poles and other debris that went flying around when the tent collapsed.

What a bummer.

We were watching Barrett Jackson when they stopped the auction to warn everyone of the storm. They moved people out of tent structors and into real buildings. It was raining pretty hard with wind, thunder and lightning in Havasu at the time.

We were out there for a mountain bike race years ago and had a pretty good burst like that come through. A few people lost tents, but no carnage to that level.

As long as it's nice in March when we plan on heading out that way is all that matters...:p
