I got a box of 10 bulbs from Prevost Mira Loma about 6 months ago and replaced several burned out compartment lights. Pretty soon I had several more lights out and this continued every couple months until today when I had had enough of the burned out bulbs. I was heading for LED lights until I did some research.
I got out my owners manual to get the exact bulb type and discover that the bulbs were operating at 24V. Doing a little cross checking I found the bulbs I was given were 12v bulbs, kind of puzzled they lasted at all. That said they were bright. Ordered 10 bulbs from www.bulbs.com for about $2 each. should solve the problem.
I would complain to Prevost if they had charged me, when I asked for the bulbs during my service they were just handed to me gratis, I will tell them of the error so that they check what is being past out.
One note the converter added lights in the bay are 12V, I seldom lose one of these bulbs.
